The Plano native is one of two Mavericks competing at the event.<\/p>\n<p>Haynes ran in the 400-meters preliminary round, placing 14th with a time of 46.97 seconds. The time does not qualify the UTA freshman for the 400m final, which takes place at 5:43 p.m. CST Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Fellow UTA freshman <a href=\"https:\/\/utamavs.com\/sports\/track-and-field\/roster\/abisayo-gbakinro\/14828\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"14828\" target=\"_blank\">Abisayo Gbakinro<\/a> will wrap up the Mavericks trip to Eugene when he competes in the men&#8217;s triple jump. The event is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The second day of the championships will be streamed on usatf.tv.
