(WDRB\/WAVE) \u2014 A man charged in connection with a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wdrb.com\/news\/crime-reports\/community-shaken-after-louisville-texas-roadhouse-manager-was-shot-during-dispute-over-unpaid-bill\/article_d7b5e2ae-584f-41bc-9994-22656ccc0ea9.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">shooting at a Texas Roadhouse in Okolona<\/a> has been released after posting a $50,000 property bond, according to court records.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Ronald Winter, 24, is charged with second-degree assault. He pleaded not guilty in court Saturday, when a judge initially set his bond at $25,000 cash and denied a request from his attorney to release him on his own recognizance because of the nature of the allegations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Court records show Winter\u2019s bond was later modified to a $50,000 property bond, which was posted Thursday, allowing his release.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">According to Louisville Metro Police Department, officers responded around 6:11 p.m. June 11 to the restaurant on a report of a shooting.<\/p>\n<p>Police said a man was shot in the shoulder and taken to UofL Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Police said a man was shot in the shoulder at the restaurant and taken to UofL Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n<p>According to court documents, when Winter tried to leave the restaurant without paying, a manager grabbed his arm.<\/p>\n<p>The employee said that when Winter tried to reach for his waistband, the employee tried to tackle Winter to the ground. That\u2019s when the gun fired.<\/p>\n<p>Winter fled the scene and was found a few hours later near Highway 44 in Shepherdsville.<\/p>\n<p>Police also said Winter had previously left the same Texas Roadhouse without paying earlier this week, though they did not release additional details about that incident.<\/p>\n<p>Texas Roadhouse later said the injured employee was stable.<\/p>\n<p>Winter is expected to next appear in court Monday, June 22, for a preliminary hearing.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 WDRB Media and WAVE.
