{"id":342450,"date":"2026-06-19T05:47:08","date_gmt":"2026-06-19T05:47:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/342450\/"},"modified":"2026-06-19T05:47:08","modified_gmt":"2026-06-19T05:47:08","slug":"lubbock-plastic-surgeon-disciplined-by-texas-medical-board-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/342450\/","title":{"rendered":"Lubbock plastic surgeon disciplined by Texas Medical Board"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text | article-text\">LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) &#8211; The Texas Medical Board is disciplining a Lubbock plastic surgeon after finding problems with patient care, anesthesia and recordkeeping.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">An agreed order against Dr. Thanapoom Boonipat says he failed to meet the standard of care for two patients, including not properly treating a possible local anesthetic toxicity, and performed large-volume liposuction in his office that should have been done in a higher-care setting.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The board also says he left the operating room for about two hours during one surgery, didn\u2019t adequately supervise a licensed nurse giving sedation and kept incomplete medical records.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Under the order, he must pass a jurisprudence exam, undergo eight chart-monitoring cycles and complete targeted education.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 KCBD.
