Upcoming projects<\/p>\n

1. Lakeline Boulevard shared-use path<\/p>\n

Project: A 10-foot paved shared-use path<\/a> is planned along Lakeline Boulevard between New Hope Drive and Little Elm Trail to improve pedestrian and bicycle connectivity.<\/p>\n

Update: Design is 90% complete. Plans have been revised to modify an existing roadway bridge rather than construct a new pedestrian bridge, with final design and permitting ongoing.<\/p>\n

Timeline: construction start date TBD-expected completion winter 2026Cost: $10.5 millionFunding source: Texas Department of Transportation2. RM 1431 road and intersection improvements<\/p>\n

Project:<\/p>\n

Road improvements are planned from New Hope Drive to Bagdad Road and also at the intersection of RM 1431\/Whitestone Boulevard and 183A Toll, both in an attempt to improve traffic flow and enhance safety for drivers, pedestrians and cyclists.<\/p>\n

Update: The project is moving into preliminary engineering and design of the intersection. The road improvements schematic has been approved by TxDOT and is awaiting funding approval and environmental clearance.<\/p>\n

Timeline: construction start date TBD-expected road completion winter 2027, intersection winter 2026Cost: $11.9 million for road, $15.9 million for intersectionFunding source: city of Cedar Park, Mobility Authority, Surface Transportation Block GrantOngoing projects<\/p>\n

3. New Hope Drive expansion<\/p>\n

Project:<\/p>\n

Traffic changes are underway as the city expands New Hope Drive<\/a> from four to six lanes and introduces an innovative intersection at 183A Toll.<\/p>\n

Update: Construction is active between Block House Drive and CR 180, with a traffic shift involving the left turn lanes from 183A onto New Hope Drive. Design work continues on the western segment toward Lakeline Boulevard.<\/p>\n

Timeline: September 2024-spring 2027Cost: $1.8 million for the design phaseFunding source: 2022 transportation bond4. 183A Toll frontage roads<\/p>\n

Project:<\/p>\n

This project will add two 3-mile lanes on either side of 183A Toll from East Whitestone Boulevard to Avery Ranch Boulevard as well as a shared-use path connecting the existing US 183 trailhead.<\/p>\n

Update: Construction is underway on both the north and southbound frontage roads.<\/p>\n

Timeline: August 2025-2029Cost: $139 millionFunding source: TxDOT5. Anderson Mill Road resurfacing<\/p>\n

Project:<\/p>\n

The city of Cedar Park is resurfacing both sides of Anderson Mill Road<\/a> from Cypress Creek to RM 2769.<\/p>\n

Update: Construction is currently underway.<\/p>\n

Timeline: June 8-June 26Cost: $1.4 million in combined contract with Park Street and Lakeline Boulevard resurfacingFunding source: 2022 bond program and 2025 certificate of obligation funds<\/p>\n
