Stolen vehicle found abandoned a block away<\/p>\n

HOUSTON \u2013 A man was killed Thursday morning after an alleged car thief stole his vehicle and struck him while fleeing the scene in northwest Houston, according to police.<\/p>\n

The incident happened around 7:45 a.m. near the intersection of Antoine Drive and Holly View Drive.<\/p>\n

Investigators said the victim was working on his vehicle when an unknown suspect jumped inside and drove away. As the suspect fled, police said the vehicle\u2019s owner was fatally struck.<\/p>\n

The stolen vehicle was later found abandoned about a block away on Sheraton Oaks Drive.<\/p>\n

Authorities have not released a description of the suspect.<\/p>\n

Houston Police Department officers remained at the scene Thursday morning as the investigation continued.<\/p>\n

Anyone with information about the case is urged to contact the Houston Police Department or Crime Stoppers of Houston.<\/p>\n
