{"id":342661,"date":"2026-06-19T10:05:08","date_gmt":"2026-06-19T10:05:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/342661\/"},"modified":"2026-06-19T10:05:08","modified_gmt":"2026-06-19T10:05:08","slug":"nsw-flash-flooding-possible-in-san-antonio-hill-country-through-saturday-night","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/342661\/","title":{"rendered":"NSW: Flash flooding possible in San Antonio, Hill Country through Saturday night"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t<img width=\"640\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/GettyImages-963406896-640x400.jpg\" class=\"object-cover wp-post-image\" alt=\"NSW: Flash flooding possible in San Antonio, Hill Country through Saturday night\" post-type=\"post\" decoding=\"async\" fetchpriority=\"high\"  \/>\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\tLightning stikes a hillside with other lightning stikes visible in the distance.\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) \u2014 No heat-related warnings or advisories for the Alamo City and surrounding area heading into the weekend, but severe weather could be stepping in take their place.<\/p>\n<p>While daytime highs will stay in the mid-to-low 90s over the next several days, the chance for flash-flooding will also enter the picture for much of South Central Texas.<\/p>\n<p>What to Know:<\/p>\n<p>Rounds of locally heavy rain may result in flash flooding and rises on area creeks, streams, and rivers from late Friday night through Saturday.<br \/>\nGreatest risk occurs Friday through Friday night across majority of South-Central Texas where there is a level 2 of 4 risk for excessive rainfall.<br \/>\nRainfall rates could exceed 2 inches per hour at times in the heaviest rain.<\/p>\n<p>Areas to the south and southeast of San Antonio will still experience dangerously hot temperatures on Friday, and those traveling to those areas could find themselves in either a Heat Advisory or an Excessive Heat Warning.<\/p>\n<p>Stay tuned to 550 KTSA and FM 107.1 for the latest weather conditions.<\/p>\n<p>More about:<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Lightning stikes a hillside with other lightning stikes visible in the distance.
