HOUSTON \u2013 On Juneteenth<\/a>, a day that honors freedom and resilience, Riverside General Hospital is celebrating a milestone of its own: 100 years of service in Houston.<\/p>\n

Riverside General Hospital was first known as the Houston Negro Hospital \u2014 created to serve the Black community during an era marked by segregation, racism, and limited access to medical care.<\/p>\n

A century of impact<\/p>\n

The hospital\u2019s centennial is being recognized as a celebration of strength, bravery, and perseverance, and the enduring legacy of those who helped build it.<\/p>\n
