Team owner Tom Gaglardi is president and CEO of Northland Properties Corp., a hospitality company with hotel, restaurant and resort holdings across North America, Canada and Europe. The Gaglardi family purchased the Stars in 2011 and brought dining chain Moxies to Dallas in 2016 with the opening of its Uptown location at The Crescent.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Stars are going to control the hotel, because that&#8217;s our bread and butter, that&#8217;s our owner&#8217;s business,&#8221; Alberts said. &#8220;We&#8217;ll have the land immediately around the arena that will be 100% ours.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The June 12 comments offer the clearest picture yet of how the NHL franchise intends to capitalize on revenue beyond game days.
