The expansion will double Xycarb\u2019s processing facility square footage, allowing it to increase production space and add further automation abilities.<\/p>\n<p>What they\u2019re saying<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTexas is the premier manufacturing powerhouse of the country,\u201d Gov. Greg Abbott said in the release. \u201cWith this expansion of their production facility in Georgetown, Xycarb will further strengthen an essential supply chain for semiconductor manufacturers in Texas and create more high-skilled jobs in the region. When we attract new investment from industry leaders, we expand economic opportunity for hardworking Texans and advance Texas\u2019 leadership in semiconductor manufacturing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Some context<\/p>\n<p>The TSIF is a grant program established through Texas\u2019 Creating Helpful Incentives to Produce Semiconductors Act.
