Riders will be going 87 miles per hour on a ride spanning more than 4,000 feet.<\/p>\n<p>The coaster now has the following world records:<\/p>\n<p>Tallest dive coasterFastest dive coasterLongest dive coaster, 4,199 feetTallest Vertical Coaster Loop, 179 feetHighest Immelmann Inversion, 218 feetHighest 95-degree beyond vertical dropThe coaster comes with a new immersive, themed area with inspirations from Spain, according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prnewswire.com\/news-releases\/six-flags-over-texas-unveils-record-breaking-roller-coaster-tormenta-rampaging-run-set-to-become-tallest-fastest-longest-and-first-ever-giga-dive-coaster-302567286.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">news release<\/a>. Visitors can explore a fictional town called Rancho de la Tormenta Plaza and a new restaurant, Cocina Abuela. The restaurant will offer Spanish and Latin American cuisine like Spanish rice, chicken tinga and housemade guacamole.<\/p>\n<p>Learn more<\/p>\n<p>Tormenta Rampaging Run was constructed by Bolliger &amp; Mabillard, a Swiss company that specializes in roller coaster designs. President Sophie Bolliger said in a statement that the new ride separates itself from other coasters by blending two types of rides.<\/p>\n<p>Giga coasters are typically more than 300 feet tall and known for their speed and length, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sixflags.com\/blog\/different-types-of-roller-coasters\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Six Flags<\/a>. The dive coaster has a straight, vertical drop with riders facing downward, according to the Bolliger &amp; Mabillard <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bolliger-mabillard.com\/dive-coaster?utm_source=chatgpt.com\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The new ride is opening ahead of the Arlington amusement park celebrating its 65th anniversary Aug. 1, according to the release.
