According to court filings and media reports, Sorsby placed thousands of wagers totaling roughly $90,000 during his college career, including bets on Indiana football games while he was a member of the program. The NCAA ultimately determined those actions warranted a loss of eligibility.\u00a0<\/p>\n The consequences have been severe: not only for Sorsby, but for Texas Tech as well.<\/p>\n The Red Raiders entered the offseason with many viewing them as a legitimate contender for a College Football Playoff run after assembling one of the most talented rosters in program history.
