CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas \u2014 Periods of heavy rainfall targeting the areas between Corpus Christi and Houston will continue through Sunday morning. Flooding remains a concern. Remember to turn around and don’t drown.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Flooded roads are being reported in the Holiday Beach area of Aransas County. The west side of Rockport-Fulton is also experiencing road flooding. Nueces County is also reporting a few road closures due to flooding.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In San Patricio County, FM 1944 is closed due to flooding between HWY 77 and FM 1074. This is according to drivetexas.org<\/a>, a great resource to check before you head out the door. It’s also showing flooding between Woodsboro and Bayside in the Bonnie View area of Refugio County. FM629 is closed between Bonnie View and Woodsboro. Avoid driving in these areas. Flooding is expected to last through 10 AM and may linger into the afternoon.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Flood Warnings continue across Northeast San Patricio County, Aransas County, and Southern Refugio County through 10 AM Sunday morning. One includes the area north of Rockport on HWY 35 until 8 AM. This storm has produced 2-4 inches of rain over the last 3 hours, and heavy rain will continue in the area, with an additional 2 inches possible.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Storms are moving Northeast and will keep the path between Houston and Corpus Christi soggy, with a risk of flooding through at least noon on Sunday.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Refugio, San Patricio and Aransas County saw the most rain between Saturday and Sunday morning. The highest rainfall total recorded so far in the Coastal Bend goes to the St Paul area north of Sinton at 7.44″ as of 9:30 AM on Sunday, 6\/21\/26.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Aransas National Wildlife Refuge saw some of the highest rainfall totals, and it closed today due to flooding in the park.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Frio River watershed saw up to 5 inches of rain.\u00a0<\/p>\n
