Elon\u00a0Musk is considering new locations for Tesla’s retro-future burgers-and-bots<\/a> experiment, and Texas may\u00a0be on the menu.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Tesla<\/a> CEO recently hinted that the Austin-based\u00a0automaker may open another\u00a0Tesla Diner<\/a> near Gigafactory Texas, outside Austin.<\/p>\n

The company opened its first diner in West Hollywood in July. On his social media site X, Musk wrote that the diner is \u201cgoing well,\u201d and that he\u2019s looking at new locations.<\/p>\n

“The futuristic Tesla Diner is going well. Probably makes sense to open one near our Giga Texas HQ in Austin and engineering HQ in Palo Alto,” he wrote.<\/p>\n

This isn’t the first time Musk has touted a possible Texas location for his company’s restaurant. Musk previously responded to requests for a Tesla Diner location near\u00a0Starbase, where his rocket company SpaceX has its launch facilities, saying “OK.”<\/p>\n

The saucer-shaped structure blends a retro American diner aesthetic with high-tech elements and Tesla-branded food containers. Open 24\/7, the diner has 80 Tesla charging stations and serves classic American diner food \u2014 biscuits and gravy, burgers, fries, tuna melts, milkshakes and more.<\/p>\n

The two-story restaurant can seat about 250 guests and has two 66-foot LED drive-in movie megascreens to show movies and special features. The building has an open-air \u201cSkypad\u201d patio on the second level and guests can place orders from their vehicles\u2019 touch screens or inside the restaurant.<\/p>\n

Musk has shifted more of his companies to Texas in recent years. The Tesla Inc. headquarters is just outside Austin, and SpaceX, the Boring Co., Neuralink and X all have an established presence in the state.
