Nordstrom Rack is rolling into another city in North Texas. <\/p>\n

The retailer \u2014 the lower-priced version of the higher-end department store \u2014 is planning to open a new store in Murphy in Collin County, according to a statement<\/a> on Tuesday. It\u2019s slated to open in the spring of 2027. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s yet another addition to the growing lineup of Nordstrom Racks in Dallas-Fort Worth, where it\u2019s grown to more than a dozen locations. Recent additions include Prosper<\/a> and Flower Mound. <\/p>\n

Nordstrom is investing in its Rack retail business as off-price stores gain<\/a> momentum with shoppers amid economic pressures and evolving tastes. The company listed openings in several states<\/a> in the past few months, including Arizona, Florida, New York and Georgia. <\/p>\n

The company now has eight traditional Nordstrom stores and about two dozen Rack versions in the state of Texas, according to a statement. It generates more than 3,800 jobs. <\/p>\n

The new store will cover 25,000 square feet and will be at FM 544 and North Murphy Road. It\u2019s located in Murphy Marketplace, where there\u2019s already a Sprouts, Michaels and Chick-fil-A. <\/p>\n
