CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas \u2014 Pride Month is nearing its end, but there are still opportunities for the community to show support for the LGBTQ community.<\/p>\n
On Saturday, the Coastal Bend Wellness Foundation<\/a> and the Pride Center of the Coastal Bend will host the 4th Annual Rainbow Run\/Walk 5K. Organizers say the event began in 2023 as a way to celebrate Pride Month while promoting health and wellness across the Coastal Bend.<\/p>\n Liz Murray with the Coastal Bend Wellness Foundation says the event is about more than just running or walking.<\/p>\n “Celebrate our differences because our differences are what make us unique.”<\/p>\n This year’s event will begin at the newly renovated Cole Park Pier, a change from previous years. Organizers say everyone is welcome and encourage participants to wear bright rainbow colors.<\/p>\n Online registration is available through noon Friday, with race-day registration also available Saturday morning. Check-in begins at 6 a.m., and the race starts at 7 a.m.<\/p>\n The Pride Center of the Coastal Bend provides year-round resources and support for the LGBTQ community from its offices at 2882 Holly Road in Corpus Christi.
