Gracie the giraffe was found just miles away from the Texas ranch she vanished from about two weeks ago.<\/p>\n

Gracie went missing from the Cedar Hollow Ranch<\/a>, just northwest of San Antonio. She was one of two giraffes at the ranch, according to the property\u2019s manager, Vick Jones. <\/p>\n

She was found on Friday morning about four miles south of the ranch after Jones conducted an aerial search with help from an aviation company, according to Real County Sheriff Nathan Johnson.<\/p>\n

\u201cMr. Jones has contacted his veterinarian and is putting a team together to safely capture Gracie and bring her home,\u201d Johnson said. <\/p>\n

Gracie, who is 3 or 4 years old, vanished after she was feeding on a hillside, according to Jones. She then found her way to an unfenced area on the opposite side of an 8-foot-tall gate and left the ranch.<\/p>\n

She was last seen on a game camera west of Leakey, roughly 100 miles northwest of San Antonio, according to officials.<\/p>\n

In the time she was missing, Gracie\u2019s owner was offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to her safe return.<\/p>\n
