ARLINGTON, Texas \u2013 UT Arlington Men’s Golf has its third transfer on the board, adding Ed Procter to its roster for the 2026-27 season. Procter is entering his junior season after spending his freshman and sophomore years at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Procter was an oft-used player at UMKC, playing in 49 rounds across 17 tournaments with the Roos. The Sydney, Australia native averaged 76.83 strokes per round his freshman year and 77.3 as a sophomore.<\/p>\n
During the 2024-25 season, Procter had the best finish of his college career in both score to par and on the leaderboard at the Oregon State Invitational.\u00a0 The then-freshman carded a 3-over-par 216 at Trysting Tree Golf Club. That mark placed him in a tie for best on the team and 22nd in the field.<\/p>\n
Procter also shot a 4-under 67 in the second round of the Oregon State Invitational, the lowest round of his collegiate career. The Sydney native got hot on the back nine, shooting a 4-under 32 while making birdie on five holes.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Later in the season, Procter finished second on the team at the Hawkeye Invitational. The 6’2 freshman shot an 8-over 224 and tied for 41st overall.<\/p>\n
As a sophomore, Procter’s best performance came at the Jackrabbit Invitational. The Sydney native finished with a 7-over 223, good for a tie in 40th place. The performance was highlighted by a pair of even-par 72’s in the first and second rounds during which the then-sophomore made par on a total of 27 holes.<\/p>\n
Procter also featured in the lineup when UMKC tied for the team title at the Grier Jones Shocker Invitational in 2025.\u00a0<\/p>\n
In high school, Procter was a multi-sport athlete. Along with golf, he played Australian football, cricket and ran track.<\/p>\n
Procter is UTA’s third transfer addition this offseason, joining Zeqian Fang<\/a> from Colorado and Joseph Hayden<\/a> from Santa Clara.
