HOUSTON \u2013 A man was killed in a late-night shooting at a residence in Houston\u2019s South Central area, according to the Houston Police Department<\/a>.<\/p>\n Officers were called to the 1600 block of Vassar Street at about 11:55 p.m. Saturday. When they arrived, they found a man who had been shot in the chest. Houston Fire Department personnel pronounced him dead at the scene a short time later.<\/p>\n Investigators said preliminary information indicates the victim and the suspected shooter lived together and were friends. Details on what led up to the shooting are unclear, at this time.<\/p>\n \u201cOne thing or another transpired tonight to where the suspect took out a firearm and shot the victim in the chest one time,\u201d HPD Lt.
