Photo courtesy University of Oklahoma athletics communications<\/p>\n<p>By David Wolman<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/murphymonitor.com\/cdn-cgi\/l\/email-protection\" class=\"__cf_email__\" data-cfemail=\"4f3c3f203d3b3c0f2c3c222a2b262e3b2a372e3c612c2022\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">[email\u00a0protected]<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Dasan Harris committed to the University of Oklahoma baseball team as a walk-on out of Plano East despite being nationally ranked and holding offers from multiple Division I programs.<\/p>\n<p>Harris concluded his junior season at OU as a national champion.<\/p>\n<p>Oklahoma dominated No. 5 North Carolina 13-2 in Game 3 of the championship series on June 22 at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Nebraska \u2013 lifting the Sooners to their third national title and first since 1994.<\/p>\n<p>Harris, a 2023 Plano East graduate, went 2-for-5 with one RBI and two runs scored in the series clincher.
