LUBBOCK, Texas<\/a> \u2014 Destiny Rodriguez, 19, and David Fabila, 18, were arrested on charges of aggravated assault following a shooting that occurred in two different locations, resulting in one person being injured, according to court documents.<\/p>\n

An affidavit obtained by EverythingLubbock.com stated that Lubbock authorities responded to reports of gunshots on June 7 at apartments in the 6200 block of 66th street. Later the same evening, more gunshots were reported in the 500 block of North Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.<\/p>\n

Court documents confirmed that the victims drove to the 6200 block of 66th street initially to use the pool. While visiting the residence, an altercation occurred between the victims and another group at the residence. The first suspect, identified as Rodriguez, then pointed a handgun at the victims and began firing it in the air. According to court documents, Rodriguez handed the firearm to Fabila, who then fired it at the victim\u2019s vehicle as they were driving away, striking the vehicle three times. One of the bullets penetrated the front passenger door and injured the driver in the front passenger seat.<\/p>\n

After the shooting on 66th Street, the victim was followed by the suspects to their residence on the 500 block of North Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, where a second shooting occurred, but no one else was injured. An ambulance was called for the victim who was shot, and they were transported to a Lubbock hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n

Court documents revealed that Lubbock authorities confirmed all four victims provided statements regarding the events. Security footage from the 66th Street apartments also corroborated these victim statements. Court documents also stated that 9mm casings were found at both scenes. Additionally, one of the victims, who was familiar with the suspects, was also able to identify Rodriguez and Fabila in a photo lineup.<\/p>\n

A warrant was issued for the arrests of both on June 23. They were apprehended the following day: Fabila was arrested in the 1400 block of Business Park Boulevard, while Rodriguez was taken into custody in the 6400 block of 36th Street.
