{"id":354326,"date":"2026-06-29T12:41:10","date_gmt":"2026-06-29T12:41:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/354326\/"},"modified":"2026-06-29T12:41:10","modified_gmt":"2026-06-29T12:41:10","slug":"wokstar-chinese-now-open-in-dallas-west-village","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/354326\/","title":{"rendered":"WokStar Chinese now open in Dallas&#8217; West Village"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/food\/restaurant-news\/2025\/05\/13\/unavida-closed-dallas-west-village-when-wokstar-chinese-open\/\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">WokStar Chinese<\/a> opened June 24, 2026, in West Village, a retail development in Uptown Dallas.<\/p>\n<p>Like the original WokStar on Walnut Hill in Dallas, the Uptown restaurant has a menu of lo mein, crab rangoon, xiao long bao and rice dishes with Mongolian beef, orange chicken, firecracker shrimp, hot garlic pork and the like.<\/p>\n<p>This longtime restaurant spot in West Village was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/food\/restaurant-news\/2021\/09\/01\/taco-diner-closes-sept-1-in-west-village-but-ceo-says-we-havent-given-up-on-the-brand\/\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">formerly a Taco Diner for two decades<\/a>. More recently, a different Dallas-based restaurant group\u00a0called Local Favorite took over the address and opened UnaVida, an all-day Mexican restaurant. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/food\/restaurant-news\/2025\/05\/13\/unavida-closed-dallas-west-village-when-wokstar-chinese-open\/\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">When it closed in mid-2025<\/a>, the same restaurateurs behind UnaVida made plans to open WokStar.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As WokStar in West Village, the restaurant was redesigned with warm neutral colors inside and pops of red neon. The\u00a0enclosed patio has been painted a modern black.<\/p>\n<p>WokStar Chinese is at 3699 McKinney Ave., Suite 307 (in West Village), Dallas. It opened June 24, 2026.
