Gloria Brown, the 77-year-old Corpus Christi woman whose disappearance prompted a large search effort, has been found safe.<\/p>\n
The Corpus Christi Police Department announced that Brown was located at approximately 3:40 p.m. Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Police said Brown was found responsive and is being transported for a medical evaluation as a precaution.<\/p>\n
Authorities thanked the community members who shared information, remained vigilant and assisted in the search efforts.<\/p>\n
The department also gave special recognition to the officers whose efforts led to Brown being located safely.<\/p>\n
Brown was last seen by family members around 9 a.m. Sunday, June 28, near McArdle Road and Karchmer Drive.<\/p>\n
Authorities said she was later seen around 12:40 p.m. near the intersection of Kostoryz Road and Gollihar Road.<\/p>\n
As the search continued Monday, the Corpus Christi Police Department announced that the U.S. Border Patrol was assisting in efforts to locate Brown after investigators determined her disappearance posed a credible threat to her health and safety.<\/p>\n
Police have not released additional information about where Brown was found or the circumstances surrounding her disappearance.<\/p>\n
