A man who lured a young girl into his vehicle while she was walking in a Meadows Place neighborhood and later sexually assaulted her in 2023 has been sentenced.<\/p>\n
In late September, a jury found Emmanuel Aransiola guilty of two counts of sexual assault of a child before sentencing him to 18 years in prison for each charge.<\/p>\n
According to lead prosecutors, the 54-year-old Houston man targeted a 15-year-old girl while she was walking in her Meadows Place neighborhood on Nov. 22, 2023.<\/p>\n
Aransiola and the victim had not previously met, but he convinced her to get into his vehicle, where he later sexually assaulted her. Afterward, the victim immediately told her family about the assault, and they contacted law enforcement.<\/p>\n
Police gathered home surveillance video and used a license plate reader to identify the vehicle, which was registered to Aransiola.<\/p>\n
The victim later identified Aransiola in a photo lineup, and DNA evidence also confirmed his identity.<\/p>\n
The two sentences will be served concurrently, but Aransiola must serve at least half his time before being eligible for parole.<\/p>\n
