The event will return June 12, 2027 at the Levitt Pavilion, the Help Center for LGBTQ+ Health announced Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n

ARLINGTON, Texas \u2014 After the controversial decision made late last year to suspend Arlington Pride 2026<\/a>, the Help Center for LGBTQ+ Health announced the event will be coming back in June 2027.<\/p>\n

The organization said this decision came following a series of local election results showing strong community support for leaders wanting to build a welcoming, inclusive Arlington.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“Arlington voters have spoken clearly,” said DeeJay Johannessen, President and CEO of the HELP Center for LGBTQ+ Health, in a statement. “They elected leaders who understand that strong communities are built by bringing people together. The results demonstrate that Arlington residents want a city where every person is treated with dignity and respect and has the opportunity to thrive.”<\/p>\n

This year’s Arlington Pride was cancelled at the end of 2025 after a divisive debate over changes to local civil rights protections.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Help Center says Arlington Pride’s return is focused on the future.<\/p>\n

“While there have been difficult times over the past year, our focus now is on moving forward,” Johannessen said. “We remain committed to working collaboratively with the Mayor, City Council, city administration, business leaders, and residents to ensure Arlington continues to be a city where everyone feels safe, welcomed, and protected from discrimination.”<\/p>\n

Arlington Mayor Jim Ross said in a statement that he believes Arlington is strongest when every resident knows they belong and are wanted.<\/p>\n

“I look forward to working with community leaders to put forward solutions that make sure all our citizens have confidence that discrimination will not be tolerated in our community,” Ross said.<\/p>\n
