It’s official! A one-of-a-kind docuseries following Texas Tech football<\/a> in one of their most influential and controversial offseasons in program history will be released\u00a0this summer.<\/p>\n

Texas Tech Football: Worthy to Be On the Big Screen<\/p>\n

Many eyes have been on Texas Tech football these past few months between financial stereotypes and the drama surrounding Brendan Sorsby<\/a>. Now, we get a chance to glimpse the behind-the-scenes that so many of us have been dying to know about for so long.<\/p>\n

The docuseries that has been in production already since January of this year is set to premiere this summer. In the announcement<\/a>, the first episode will be available to stream\u00a0before the first game of the regular season on September 5 when the Red Raiders host Abilene Christian<\/a>.<\/p>\n

There will be four episodes that each follow both the team and head coach Joey McGuire.<\/p>\n

Director of Texas Tech Athletics Kirby Hocutt said<\/a> that they are proud to be working with Paramount+ on such an exciting documentary:<\/p>\n

This documentary will give the Red Raider Nation an inside look at everything that makes Texas Tech Athletics special, the people, the passion, and the relentless pursuit of excellence that defines this program every day.<\/p>\n

Skydance, the parent company of Paramount following a merger in 2025, is responsible for such documentaries as “aka Charlie Sheen<\/a>” and “Rafa<\/a>“. They are also the studio behind the feature film “Air<\/a>” which starred Ben Affleck and Matt Damon and was actually nominated for a Golden Globe.<\/p>\n
