EL PASO, Texas (KFOX 14, CBS 4) \u2014 The 2026 FIFA World Cup has delivered unforgettable moments, and the United States men’s national team has given millions of fans a reason to believe.<\/p>\n

But beyond the goals, dramatic finishes and stunning upsets, the tournament has also brought people together. In El Paso, that’s something the American Outlaws have been doing for more than a decade.<\/p>\n

The American Outlaws are the official supporters’ group of the United States men’s and women’s national teams. Since 2011, the El Paso chapter has built a community of fans united by their passion for soccer and their love of their country.<\/p>\n

“Everybody likes football, baseball, and basketball; so if you like soccer, you are like an outlaw,” American Outlaws El Paso president Isaias Enriquez explained. “Just being that it makes us proud to support.” <\/p>\n

“It’s a brotherhood and sisterhood,” AOEP board member Joe Montoya said. “I bleed red, white, and blue. It is great to be part of a community that supports this country and its teams the way they do. The vibe and the community are what it is about.” <\/p>\n

When the United States takes the field, the District Pub in West El Paso transforms into the home of the Outlaws. Flags wave throughout the bar, chants ring out from supporters, and the atmosphere rivals what fans would experience inside a World Cup stadium.<\/p>\n

As one of the capos, we are the guys with the mega horns leading the chants; we try to keep the same energy that they have at the stadium,” AOEP board member Deylon Douglass said. “We try to bring that to the bar. We want everyone to be hyped and energized. We want to bring as much excitement and positivity as possible.<\/p>\n

The Outlaws also have drums sounding off throughout the match. The drummers coordinate with the capos to start the various chants, such as “When the Yanks Go Marching In.” <\/p>\n

“I am responsible for making the noise and making everyone feel the energy and that drum thumping,” AOEP board member Cristian “Chino” Alarcon said. “We play for all 90 minutes. If there is a corner kick, we play the corner chant. If there is a substitution and Pepi comes in, we start that chant.”<\/p>\n

As the World Cup continues to grow the game in the United States, the El Paso chapter is welcoming more supporters than ever. Whether someone has followed the national team for years or is watching their first match, members say everyone is welcome.<\/p>\n

“We are a tight-knit community,” Montoya said. “We welcome everybody in. If you walk in wearing red, white, and blue, we will draw you in, even if we don’t know you. By the end of the 90 minutes, you will be one of us.” <\/p>\n

This year’s World Cup has added another layer of pride for El Paso. Ricardo Pepi and Alex Zendejas, both with ties to the Borderland, are representing the United States on soccer’s biggest stage. For local supporters, that means they’re not just cheering for their country\u2014they’re cheering for two players who call this region home.<\/p>\n

“We hold our head up high because of them two,” Enriquez said. “We are very proud to have two El Paso members on the team. It was so great when they got introduced, to hear their names and El Paso. We are extremely proud to have them out here.” <\/p>\n

The American Outlaws will gather once again at the District Pub on Wednesday to cheer on the United States in its Round of 32 matchup against Bosnia and Herzegovina.<\/p>\n
