CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas \u2014 \u00a0Update:\u00a0Gloria Brown has been found safe, according to the Corpus Christi Police Department.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Police said Brown was located at approximately 3:40 p.m. Monday near the intersection of Tiger Street and Oakhurst Drive. She was found responsive and was transported to a local hospital for a medical evaluation as a precaution.<\/p>\n
The department thanked community members, partner agencies and officers who assisted in the search efforts and helped bring Brown home safely.<\/p>\n
The search is growing for a missing 77-year-old Corpus Christi woman whose disappearance police say poses a credible threat to her health and safety.<\/p>\n
The Corpus Christi Police Department said\u00a0Gloria Brown was last seen\u00a0by family members around\u00a09 a.m. Sunday, June 28, near\u00a0McArdle Road and Karchmer Drive.<\/p>\n
Authorities said Brown\u00a0was later seen\u00a0around\u00a012:40 p.m. near the intersection of\u00a0Kostoryz Road and Gollihar Road.<\/p>\n
On Monday morning, the Corpus Christi Police Department announced on Facebook that the\u00a0U.S. Border Patrol was assisting in the search for Brown.<\/p>\n
Police said investigators believe Brown’s disappearance poses a credible threat to her own health and safety and are asking anyone with information to come forward immediately.<\/p>\n
Brown is described as\u00a05 feet 3 inches tall, weighing about\u00a0140 pounds, with\u00a0reddish-brown hair. She\u00a0was last seen\u00a0wearing a\u00a0bright blue shirt, blue jean shorts and a white hat.<\/p>\n
Anyone who sees Brown or knows where she may be\u00a0is asked\u00a0to call\u00a0911 or the Corpus Christi Police Department’s non-emergency line at\u00a0361-886-2600.<\/p>\n
Police have not released any additional information about the circumstances surrounding her disappearance.<\/p>\n
