A Texas mother of five\u2019s desperate last stand against the twisted sisters accused of hacking her to death<\/a> was captured in a chilling new photo of the bloody attack<\/a> in a dusty border town.<\/p>\n

The haunting image \u2014 apparently snapped moments after 19-year-old Amaya Cookie Diaz<\/a> allegedly plunged a knife into Caroline \u201cCaro\u201d Pe\u00f1a\u2019s back<\/a> \u2013 shows the 32-year-old victim\u2019s pink T-shirt soaked in blood.<\/p>\n

Just feet away, three women can be seen standing in the grass beside the visibly wounded Pe\u00f1a \u2013 including two whose clothing matches descriptions police later gave of the assailants.<\/p>\n

Surveillance footage later obtained by cops showed Cookie clad in a red tank top and blue jeans, while her older sister, 21-year-old Kitty Mia Diaz<\/a> \u2013 identifiable by tattoos covering her right arm \u2013 was seen wearing a pink tank top paired with blue jeans, according to a criminal complaint filed in the case.<\/p>\n

It wasn\u2019t immediately clear whether the third woman in the disturbing photo \u2013 seen dressed in a gray T-shirt \u2013 is 21-year-old Kyandra Renee Faz, who was also charged in Pe\u00f1a\u2019s murder.<\/p>\n

In the image, a man appears to have his arms wrapped around Cookie\u2019s shoulders while Pe\u00f1a is seen facing and speaking to another man \u2013 possibly her nephew, who reportedly drove her from the grisly scene to a local hospital.<\/p>\n

The chilling photo was uploaded to a local community Facebook page, three sources confirmed to The Post, but swiftly scrubbed from the platform after Pe\u00f1a succumbed to the knife wounds<\/a> at a hospital in San Antonio at around 9 p.m. Thursday.<\/p>\n

Still, it shows that Pe\u00f1a \u201cwas a fighter,\u201d<\/a> her longtime friend, Zelina Ochoa, previously told The Post.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cShe had just collapsed and she stood right back up,\u201d Ochoa said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a very powerful picture because it shows, you know, these three girls showed up with their weapons and Caro showed up with nothing but her hands,\u201d she added.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Pe\u00f1a knew her accused killers, Del Rio Police Chief Frank Ramirez revealed Tuesday.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The nature of their relationship remains unclear<\/p>\n

Police have not yet offered a motive for the alleged attack, which remains under investigation, a department spokesperson told The Post.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Faz told investigators that Pe\u00f1a had \u201carrived at her residence looking to start a fight\u201d \u2013 but was soon met by the sisters, who drove up to the home in a black Chrysler 300, the complaint states.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The surveillance clip shows Cookie fly out of the vehicle\u2019s passenger seat and confront Pe\u00f1a \u2014 while holding an object believed by cops to be a knife in her right hand, according to the court document.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Cookie is then seen in the clip striking the mother in the back, where blood begins soaking her shirt, the doc states.\u00a0<\/p>\n

That\u2019s when Kitty and Faz jumped in \u2014 allegedly beating Pe\u00f1a before running away, the complaint continues.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Just two hours after the brutal attack, Cookie and Kitty flashed twisted smiles<\/a> as police hauled them off in handcuffs.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Footage taken outside the siblings\u2019 home showed a barefoot Kitty \u2013 wearing tight black shorts and a halter top with an illustration of white hands cupping her breasts \u2013 grinning briefly at the ground as two officers escorted her into a patrol car around 4 p.m. Thursday.<\/p>\n

Her similarly scantily clad younger sister appeared to put on a show for the camera, brazenly flashing her pearly whites and giggling after sarcastically yelling at the man behind the camera, \u201cStop recording!\u201d<\/p>\n

Faz and the Diaz sisters are behind bars after each were slapped with $5 million bonds by a judge during their first court appearance Friday, when they all requested court-appointed attorneys.<\/p>\n
