EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14\/CBS4) \u2014 An El Paso athlete is once again heading to the World Championship.<\/p>\n

After earning her spot, Laneah Bryan has been named to the final roster for the U.S Women’s National Flag Football team. <\/p>\n

The team is set to compete at the 2026 International Federation of American Football (IFAF) Flag Football World Championship; in D\u00fcsseldorf, Germany this August.<\/p>\n

As Bryan enters her fourth year as a member of the U.S Women’s National Team.<\/p>\n

She stated, making the team is more then another accomplishment ” it’s an honor, and it is something I will never take for granted.” <\/p>\n

Bryan helped team USA capture the 2024 world championship, and has represented the United Stated in international competitions help in China, Finland and Panama.<\/p>\n

And through each new experience, she has never forgotten her favorite memory; the moment when El Pasoans’ blew up a post made by USA Football, ” there was hundreds of comments… and honestly that has probably been one of the coolest experiences I’ve had.”<\/p>\n

“Just knowing that El Paso supports me the way they do, and has my back and is rooting for me, it means everything to me,” Bryan said.<\/p>\n

Bryan, continues to represent her hometown while competing against some of the world’s top flag football athletes.<\/p>\n

Bryan went to Franklin High School where she was a basketball player and once earned District 1-5A MVP honors. <\/p>\n

After high school, Bryan earned a basketball scholarship at the University of New Mexico, where she played four seasons (2014-18) for the Lobos.<\/p>\n

The tournament marks the final Flag Football World Championship before the sport will make its Olympic debut in the Los Angeles 2028 games. <\/p>\n
