EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14\/CBS4) \u2014 A 36-year-old man was arrested Thursday in the Lower Valley, accused of following a woman to a gas station restroom to possibly record her. <\/p>\n
Ivan Abraham Ponce is facing voyeurism charges after investigators say they responded to reports of a suspicious person hanging around the women’s bathroom at the Circle K store located at the 12200 block of Eastlake Boulevard. <\/p>\n
According to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, the victim reported that on Monday, at around 9:36 a.m., she believed someone was trying to watch her or record her as she was going to the restroom. <\/p>\n
RECOMMENDED: Domestic violence charges dismissed against former Eastlake High coach Ruben Rodriguez<\/a><\/p>\n Deputies said they reviewed surveillance video, which showed a man following a woman into the restroom, and identified the suspect as Ponce. <\/p>\n The popular social media account @therealfitfamelpaso<\/a> shared what looks like the surveillance video from the incident.<\/p>\n WATCH:<\/p>\n Surveillance video of alleged “peeping tom.” Credit: FitFam<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Then, days later on Thursday, the Sheriff’s Fugitive Apprehension Unit found Ponce in the 7900 block of Gateway East and arrested him.<\/p>\n Jail records show Ponce was booked and released the same day after posting a surety bond of $10,000.<\/p>\n
