HOUSTON – Two of Texas’s 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders have been apprehended following their recent arrests in separate locations. <\/p>\n
Derrick Van Flowers, 44, was captured in Houston, Texas, on Oct. 8 after a traffic stop conducted by Texas Highway Patrol Troopers. <\/p>\n
Flowers had been wanted since April 2025 for failing to comply with sex offender registration requirements. <\/p>\n
He was previously convicted in 2008 for the sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl and again in 2010 for failing to comply with registration requirements.<\/p>\n
In a separate incident, Spencer Mandell Giron, 48, was arrested in Lake Charles, La., on Oct. 9. <\/p>\n
The arrest followed a coordinated effort between the Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigations Division Special Agents from Beaumont and the Lake Charles Police Department. <\/p>\n
Giron had been wanted since June 2025 for similar registration violations. <\/p>\n
His criminal history includes a 1998 conviction for aggravated sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl, resulting in an 11-year sentence, and a 2017 federal drug offense conviction, which led to four years of confinement.<\/p>\n
