MILAN \u2014 Once again, Loro Piana<\/a> is collaborating with a unique cultural institution, continuing its commitment to preserving and celebrating the arts.<\/p>\n

The Italian luxury brand selected the Menil Collection in Houston as the stage of its fall 2026 ad campaign<\/a>, including the private home of collectors and patrons of the arts John and Dominique de Menil, as well as the Rothko Chapel.<\/p>\n

Loro Piana<\/a> tapped an intergenerational cast for the campaign, which was lensed by the brand\u2019s longtime collaborator Mario Sorrenti. The cast ranges from Sigrid de L\u2019Epine and her husband, artist Jean-Charles Blais, to models Colin Otto, Jacqui Hooper, Jackson Giles, Long Li, Noor Khan, Robert Forrest and Selena Forrest.<\/p>\n

\u201cWorking on this campaign for Loro Piana<\/a> within the extraordinary de Menils\u2019 landscape was truly inspiring,\u201d Sorrenti said. \u201cThe synergy between the collection\u2019s refined elegance and the timeless, art-filled environments created by John and Dominique de Menil was profound. It allowed us to capture a natural, unforced beauty, a quiet dialogue between the clothing and these spaces that felt both intimate and expansive.\u201d<\/p>\n

Loro Piana is also supporting the Menil Collection ahead of its 40th anniversary in 2027 and its December gala, and contributing to the Rothko Chapel\u2019s Opening Spaces project, reaffirming its commitment to preserving cultural institutions and making art accessible to future generations.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a pleasure to work with\u00a0Loro\u00a0Piana,\u201d said Rebecca Rabinow, director of the Menil Collection. \u201cWhen their team visited the Menil Collection this spring to photograph the campaign, it quickly became apparent that the\u00a0Loro\u00a0Piana\u00a0ethos finds a parallel with that of the Menil Collection \u2014 the attention to detail, a curiosity about what one sees or experiences at any given time, and an embrace of creativity in all its forms.\u201d<\/p>\n

Loro Piana\u2019s \u201ccontribution advances the Menil\u2019s mission of offering world-class art and vibrant programming to all visitors, free of charge,\u201d Rabinow added.<\/p>\n

Opening Spaces is a project dedicated to preserving the Rothko Chapel\u2019s building and expanding its north campus.<\/p>\n

The de Menil couple moved to Houston in 1941, commissioning Philip Johnson to design their personal home in 1949 with interiors by couturier Charles James. The Menil Foundation was established there in 1954, and their home is now a city landmark.<\/p>\n

They commissioned Mark Rothko to create a suite of paintings for a meditative chapel in 1964, which has used \u2014 and continues to use \u2014 art, public programs and dialogue to promote human rights and social justice. The chapel opened in 1971. Conceived as a space for contemplation, it houses 14 monumental paintings by Rothko, created specifically for the building.<\/p>\n

The de Menils tapped Renzo Piano to design the Menil Collection\u2019s main museum building, which opened in 1987, housing both temporary exhibitions and galleries dedicated to the permanent collection over a 30,000-square-foot space,\u00a0and, in 1995, the Cy Twombly Gallery opened on the campus.<\/p>\n

With this latest campaign, Loro Piana continues its tradition of choosing striking locations with a rich artistic heritage. Previous campaign locations have included Casa Rotonda, the Italian retreat carved into the rock by architect and designer Cini Boeri;\u00a0Casa das Canoas in Brazil<\/a>, designed by\u00a0the Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer; Villa Santo Sospir, the house adorned with frescoes by avant-garde French artist Jean Cocteau, and Balthus\u2019 Grand Chalet, La Colombe d\u2019Or and la Fondation Maeght in Saint-Paul-de- Vence.<\/p>\n
