Move over, New York<\/a> and Nasdaq<\/a> \u2014 there’s a new stock exchange in Texas. <\/p>\n

On Monday, the Texas Stock Exchange (TXSE) in Dallas<\/a> went live \u2014\u00a0but only for members \u2014\u00a0as it began test trading of designated securities with live trading set to start on Friday, July 10. <\/p>\n

When it goes live to the public, the stock exchange will only trade a few securities, with more added over the next few weeks. No company is listed on the exchange yet. <\/p>\n

Here’s what to know about TXSE, the emerging Y’all Street financial corridor and which securities will trade first. <\/p>\n

The Texas Stock Exchange is the only national securities exchange built, headquartered and incorporated in Texas, based out of Dallas. <\/p>\n

According to its website<\/a>, TXSE is backed by Bank of America, BlackRock, Charles Schwab, Citadel, Fortress, Goldman Sachs and J.P. Morgan, among others. <\/p>\n

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission formally approved<\/a> the stock exchange in late September 2025. <\/p>\n

What is Y’all Street? <\/p>\n

Y’all Street refers to the financial corridor in Dallas that includes Downtown, Victory Park and Uptown, according to Texas Capital Bank<\/a>. It is being built to help solidify Dallas’ position as a financial powerhouse, rivaling Wall Street. <\/p>\n

The Guardian reported<\/a> in April that there are 386,000 financial sector workers in Texas, with Charles Schwab relocating its headquarters to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, and J.P. Morgan and Goldman Sachs having corporate hubs in the area. <\/p>\n

When will the public be allowed to trade on the Texas Stock Exchange? <\/p>\n

Trading is set to go live on July 10, with only a few securities initially available, with more to be added over the next month. <\/p>\n
