Tuesday was the first triple-digit day of the year in North Texas.<\/p>\n<p>   Triple-Digit Heat <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/740698722_1376514274390625_5440621882166673835_n.jpg\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" fetchpriority=\"auto\" width=\"932\" height=\"524\" data-v-2fe2fe3e=\"\"\/>   <\/p>\n<p original-article-post=\"\" origination_station=\"KDFW\" data-v-ec26887a=\"\" data-v-94395e58=\"\">What we know:<\/p>\n<p data-v-94395e58=\"\">While it\u2019s been hot throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex for the past few days, Tuesday was the first official day of triple-digit temperatures.<\/p>\n<p data-v-94395e58=\"\">According to the National Weather Service, the temperature hit 100 degrees at DFW Airport at 3:20 p.m.<\/p>\n<p data-v-94395e58=\"\">The average first triple-digit day of the year is July 1, according to the NWS. So, the intense heat arrived just a few days behind schedule this year.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p original-article-post=\"\" origination_station=\"KDFW\" data-v-ec26887a=\"\" data-v-94395e58=\"\">What they&#8217;re saying:<\/p>\n<p data-v-94395e58=\"\">&#8220;It\u2019s plenty hot out there regardless of where you are and regardless of if it\u2019s 99 or 100. And keep in mind that with the humidity, it feels even hotter,&#8221; said FOX 4 Meteorologist Josh Johns.<\/p>\n<p> 7-Day Forecast <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/740198223_1737247390645947_8654992513367425941_n.jpg\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" fetchpriority=\"auto\" width=\"932\" height=\"524\" data-v-2fe2fe3e=\"\"\/>  <\/p>\n<p data-v-94395e58=\"\">The heat will intensify mid-week as rain chances dwindle. Forecasters have capped Wednesday\u2019s rain chances at 10% along the I-35 corridor and 20% to the east, with highs again reaching the upper 90s. Rain chances drop to zero on Thursday, paving the way for the first widespread triple-digit day of the week.<\/p>\n<p data-v-94395e58=\"\">Relief is not expected until the weekend.
