A General Motors employee shot a coworker on Tuesday during an argument in the parking lot of the company\u2019s plant in Arlington, according to the accounts of police and the automaker.<\/p>\n

A 24-year-old man was fired upon about 6:30 a.m. at the vehicle assembly facility in the 2500 block of East Abram Street, according to an Arlington police spokesperson.<\/p>\n

The victim was shot multiple times and was taken to a hospital in critical condition, according to Tim Ciesco, the police spokesperson.<\/p>\n

Police arrested Larry Hines, 26, in connection with the shooting and booked him into the Arlington city jail on suspicion of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.<\/p>\n

Hines left the parking lot immediately after the shooting. A short time later, Hines called 911 and said he had been involved in the shooting, according to Ciesco.<\/p>\n

Officers went to Hines\u2019 location, an apartment complex in the 4100 block of Viridian Village Drive, and detained him.<\/p>\n

Hines and victim know each other, Ciesco said. General Motors confirmed the shooting involved two employees<\/a>, WFAA-TV reported.<\/p>\n
