Video from the scene showed flames spreading across portions of the landfill overnight as emergency crews worked to contain the blaze. By sunrise, dense smoke continued to billow into the sky while firefighters remained on scene battling the fire.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Texas Department of Transportation traffic cameras in West El Paso captured the smoke lingering over the area Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\" decoding=\"async\" data-nimg=\"1\" class=\"rounded-lg\" style=\"color:transparent\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/6f3dc0888ab2bf02d4018d453729f847.jpeg\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Tuesday\u2019s blaze is reportedly the sixth fire at the landfill this year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Firefighters remained at the scene Tuesday morning as crews continued working to extinguish the fire.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Editor\u2019s Note: ProVideo contributed to this report.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Copyright 2026 Nexstar Media, Inc.
