The budget will also cover other ongoing initiatives, such as the annual licensing for the city’s license plate reading cameras and funding for safety equipment.

Additionally, Wreay said the FY 2026-27 budget will pay for the replacement of 51 tasers at a cost of nearly $236,939, which will be spread out over five years. Two police motorcycles, including associated safety equipment, will be replaced at a cost of up to $100,000.

“Police motorcycles are a key tool in reducing traffic-related injuries and fatalities,” Wreay said. “Their increased mobility, accessibility and visibility make them ideal for targeted traffic enforcement, crash investigations and special escort activities.”

What else?

Council must approve the district’s budget at least 80 days before the start of the new fiscal year, which will begin Oct. 1.

The fiscal year 2026-27 budget for the Colleyville Crime Control and Prevention District will fund the replacement of…

[10
2050,1351,8238,129561,129562,58371,116,118,117
post-365631","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-fort-worth","tag-budget","tag-colleyville","tag-colleyville-city-council","tag-colleyville-crime-control-and-prevention-district","tag-colleyville-crime-control-and-prevention-district-budget","tag-colleyville-police","tag-fort-worth","tag-fort-worth-headlines","tag-fort-worth-news
["GET
