Carrollton homeowners and businesses will see a new charge on their monthly utility bills starting Oct. 1, after City Council voted in November 2025 to create a stormwater fund dedicated to maintaining and improving the city’s drainage system.<\/p>\n

The fee will help pay for capital projects such as drainage infrastructure, channel improvements, flood mitigation and dam upgrades, according to a news release from the city.<\/p>\n
