\nJune 28: Downtown Plano begins summer movie series
\nThe Historic Downtown Plano Association is hosting a summer music series at Haggard Park. The series will kick off June 28 with a screening of \u201cSpider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.\u201d The association will also screen \u201cWreck it Ralph 2: Ralph Breaks the Internet\u201d on July 27. Guests will also be able to participate in activities prior to the start of the movie. There will be vendors on site selling refreshments. Costumes are also welcome. \nJune 29: Local restaurant hosts 10th annual hula event
\nL&L Hawaiian Barbecue in Plano will host its 10th annual Summer Hula Show on June 29. The event will feature performances from Keola\u2019s Hula Halau, a locally organized group of natives from Polynesian islands that has performed in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Missouri. \nJuly 3: Plano band performs patriotic pops concert
\nThe Plano Community Band will perform a patriotic-themed show on the eve of July 4. The band will perform classics such as \u201cAmerican Flourish,\u201d \u201cThe Gallant Seventh,\u201d \u201cThe Armed Forces Salute\u201d and \u201cAmerica the Beautiful.\u201d The Plano community band holds regular free performances in Plano. \nJuly 12: Eagles tribute band to perform at Legacy Hall
\nLegacy Hall will host a live music event featuring The Eagles cover band Desperado. The band regularly performs fan favorites, such as \u201cAlready Gone,\u201d \u201cHotel California\u201d and \u201cNew Kid in Town.\u201d Because the event is free, seating is first come, first served. \nThe Tom Muehlenbeck Recreation Center will hold a family swim night July 18. The event will include food served by In-N-Out Burger. Meals will include a burger, chips, a drink and a frozen treat. \nJuly 26: A farewell event at Collin Creek Mall before it closes for construction
\nMall-goers can attend a kickoff party for the Collin Creek Mall redevelopment project. Representatives from Centurion American, the developer behind the $1 billion redevelopment project of Collin Creek Mall, will unveil their most up-to-date plans at the kickoff event. The event will be held at the center of Collin Creek Mall, and it is family friendly. The night will include live music, food, photos and more. Free. 6-9 p.m. Collin Creek Mall, 811 N.
