Arlington, TX (March 13, 2026) \u2013 The 2026 INDY NXT by Firestone championship rolls on this weekend for round two, at the inaugural Grand Prix of Arlington. The street-course was built directly between both AT&T Stadium home of the Dallas Cowboys, and also Globe Life Field home of the Texas Rangers.\u00a0<\/p>\n
As rookie Max Garcia continues his progression in INDY NXT, he feels confident and excited to take to the Streets of Arlington for round two of the championship. Garcia had a strong 12th\u00a0place finish at St. Petersburg but feels that there is much more on the table to get.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m feeling confident heading into my second INDY NXT by Firestone race. St. Petersburg had a lot of lessons for me, and a lot of things I learned that I am ready to put into motion this weekend in Arlington,\u201d said the Florida native.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cI was able to see a bit of the layout back in December when I came to AT&T Stadium for the Cotton Bowl football game and can\u2019t wait to see the streets become a racetrack.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
Jordan Missig is an avid sports fan, so the opportunity for him to not only get to come to the Arlington area and see these famous stadiums but also compete through their streets is a challenge he is excited for.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cArlington has been the event that has been circled on everyone\u2019s calendars since the announcement. The track layout looks very cool, and I can\u2019t wait to be racing around AT&T Stadium and Globe Life Field,\u201d said Missig.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cThis layout offers a few different passing areas around this circuit with the long straight away, so I am looking forward to an opportunity to bring home some much needed points this weekend.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
Capturing sixth in the season opening race in Florida, series veteran Myles Rowe wants to build on that momentum to continue gaining as many points as possible through the championship fight. Always noticing the intricacies of different events, Rowe is eager to be a part of the inaugural event in Arlington.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cArlington is going to be such a neat event, and I am so glad that I get to take part in the first one here. There\u2019s just so much hype around this weekend, that its going to be a special weekend,\u201d said Rowe.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cWe had a solid start to the season at St. Petersburg, and this weekend is all about building off that result and reaching for more.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
Back in the rhythm of INDY NXT and the season, Colin Kaminsky is eager to continue working alongside his Abel Motorsports crew, as they continue to hunt results. Kaminsky too is looking forward to the challenge of a blank slate with teams not having any prior data on the Arlington track.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m what the kids call \u2018stoked\u2019 to get on track this week in Arlington. I love the ability to be a part of a new street circuit event,\u201d exclaimed Kaminsky.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cThe field is completely leveled because no one has driven the track before. It becomes a great test of how quickly we can get dialed in and adapt to a new challenge. Abel Motorsports and I had success with this when the Detroit race moved from Bell Isle to Downtown in 2023. Plus, the layout looks incredible, so it should be a lot of fun!\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
The inaugural Grand Prix of Arlington gets underway on Friday March 13 with practice one, followed by both practice two and qualifying on Saturday.
