<\/p>\nCORPUS CHRISTI, Texas \u2014 The Corpus Christi-Nueces County Public Health District is continuing its mosquito control operations this week as crews work to reduce mosquito populations throughout the city.<\/p>\n
Spraying is scheduled to continue through Friday, with treatment areas changing each day. The effort is part of the district’s ongoing mosquito abatement program aimed at reducing the risk of mosquito-borne illnesses and improving public health.<\/p>\n

Residents are encouraged to review the daily spraying schedule to determine when crews will be working in their neighborhood. Treatment routes and locations vary each evening based on the city’s mosquito control plan.<\/p>\n
While the spraying is designed to target mosquitoes, officials recommend residents take additional steps to protect themselves from mosquito bites by using insect repellent, wearing long sleeves and pants when outdoors, and eliminating standing water around their homes where mosquitoes can breed.<\/p>\n
