The latest report from Acting Comptroller Kelly Hancock also shows an upward trend statewide.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The report released Wednesday is for revenue being sent to cities and other local governments in July, generated from May sales by businesses that report tax monthly.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Lubbock will receive $8,944,843.18, which is up 5.23 percent compared to the payment received in July 2025. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Lubbock\u2019s year-to-date revenue is $66,543,741.69, which is up 6.69 percent over the year-to-date total by this point in 2025.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Statewide, about $1.2 billion will be sent to cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose districts across Texas, an increase of 5.6 percent over the payment at this time last year.
