The Harris County Sheriff\u2019s Office is investigating after two people were shot during a parking lot takeover in northeast Harris County early Friday morning.<\/p>\n
Deputies were called around 1:25 a.m. Friday to the area of Eastex Freeway and Little York Road after reports of a shooting.<\/p>\n
According to investigators, the shooting happened in the parking lot shared by a Walgreens, a bank and a Home Depot, where authorities said a street takeover was taking place.<\/p>\n
Investigators said two people, both believed to be in their early 20s, were struck by gunfire.<\/p>\n
One of the victims ran to a nearby Whataburger in the shopping center to seek help. The second victim drove away from the scene before stopping at another location, where EMS transported that person to a local hospital.<\/p>\n
Authorities have not released the conditions of either victim.<\/p>\n
Investigators have not said what led to the shooting or whether any suspects have been identified.<\/p>\n
The Harris County Sheriff\u2019s Office is continuing to investigate. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact HCSO or Crime Stoppers.<\/p>\n
