Those ordinal rankings would suggest the Mets got something of a steal here, but there\u2019s ample reason for skepticism here. Robbins features a funky, steep swing that can at times appeared grooved, portending potential struggles with pro pitching. There\u2019s also significant questions about his ability to recognize and hit spin. Put another way, there are some clear reasons why Robbins was available this late, suggesting that teams – who always have more info than us on the public side – were a bit less bullish on the profile.<\/p>\n In the the third round, Robbins will likely receive an overslot bonus relative to the $859.9K slot for the 92nd pick, eating into the savings from Carson Wiggins\u2019 presumably underslot bonus.
