Ramirez, DrPH, MPH, a cancer researcher at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/uthscsa.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">UT Health San Antonio<\/a>, the academic health center of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.utsa.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">The University of Texas at San Antonio<\/a>, is receiving a two-year, $400,000 leadership grant from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.komen.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Susan G. Komen<\/a>\u00a0to study cancer survivorship.<\/p>\n<p>The research will study how therapeutic can impact health-related quality of life, fatigue and physical function.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy focusing on the whole person and listening to survivor experiences, we hope to find more effective, culturally responsive ways to support recovery,\u201d said Ramirez, with the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ihpr.uthscsa.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Institute for Health Promotion Research<\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cancer.uthscsa.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Mays Cancer Center<\/a>\u00a0at UT Health San Antonio.<\/p>\n<p>Ramirez\u2019s grant is part of $15.4 million in breast cancer research grants to 35 researchers across the country from Komen, the world\u2019s leading breast cancer organization.
