SAN ANTONIO – Deputies are searching for answers in connection with the shooting death of a teen on the North East Side.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s office identified the victim as 15-year-old Tamarion Gant, who was fatally shot near the corner of Woodlake Parkway and Lakeview Drive on Friday.<\/p>\n

According to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the scene around 11 a.m. on Oct. 10, where they found Gant suffering from a gunshot wound.<\/p>\n

He was rushed to a hospital, where he would succumb to his injuries. A 15-year-old has been arrested and charged with tampering with evidence in connection with the case.<\/p>\n

Although tampering charges have been filed, the sheriff’s office says the homicide investigation remains active and ongoing.<\/p>\n
