The 35-year-old actor from Guadalajara <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/soccer\/story\/_\/id\/49344890\/ted-lasso-dani-rojas-actor-cristo-fernandez-usl-debut\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">made his official United Soccer League (USL) debut<\/a> on Saturday, July 11, in the 79th minute of a 2-0 defeat by New Mexico United. Donning a No. 91 jersey, Fern\u00e1ndez picked up a yellow card.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Fern\u00e1ndez has a history of playing at the youth level, though a knee injury he sustained at 15 led him to act. But now that he&#8217;s back on the pitch for real after playing a fictional forward, fans in San Antonio may have the chance to see him at Toyota Field next month.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mysanantonio.com\/sports\/article\/everything-anything-know-san-antonio-fc-17760644.php\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">San Antonio FC<\/a> and El Paso Locomotive FC will face off here at home on Saturday, August 15.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are hosting El Paso Locomotive FC on Saturday, August 15 at Toyota Field, so there is a chance Fernandez is on the squad for that match,&#8221; a spokesperson for San Antonio FC told MySA via email. &#8220;We\u2019re expecting a big ticketing night due to a few factors, including El Paso being our in-state rivals and it also being Spurs Night, usually one of our bigger theme nights of the year, but did see an increase in ticketing for the match after his signing was announced so people are definitely excited for the possibility. It should be a fun match for the fans all around!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ticketmaster.com\/san-antonio-fc-vs-el-paso-san-antonio-texas-08-15-2026\/event\/3A006390D5958BF3\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">Tickets <\/a>are still available and start at $21.65 per seat.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The match will take place just 10 days after Season 4 of Ted Lasso drops on Apple TV.
