SANTA TERESA, N.M \u2014 The Camino Real Regional Utility Authority (CRRUA) is responding to a water main break that has temporarily disrupted water service in part of Santa Teresa.<\/p>\n
The utility said the break occurred in the 5800 block of Ridge Drive. Water service has been temporarily suspended in the affected area while crews perform line maintenance and mechanical repairs.<\/p>\n
CRRUA did not provide an estimated time for when service will be restored.<\/p>\n
Once water service returns, customers may notice temporary water discoloration caused by naturally occurring minerals in the distribution system.<\/p>\n
The utility recommends waiting until the water runs clear before washing laundry. Officials said the discoloration should clear within 24 hours. If it does not, customers are encouraged to run cold water for several minutes to help flush the system.<\/p>\n
