Sean Duffy announced that the FAA plans to &#8220;reduce flight capacity&#8221; in U.S. airspace starting on Friday, if the shutdown continues and air traffic controllers continue to go unpaid.<\/p>\n<p>The plan is for the FAA to cut traffic by 10% at 40 airports (that have not been announced yet) beginning on Friday, if the Democrats continue to keep the government closed.<\/p>\n<p>FAA Administrator Bryan Bedford also added that the agency is not going to wait for a problem to act, saying the shutdown is causing staffing pressures and \u201cwe can\u2019t ignore it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The reduction comes as air traffic controllers are missing paychecks due to the Democrat led government shutdown.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"As the Schumer Shutdown continues on Day #36, Transportation Sec.
