Novak officially retired,<\/a> Rosenfield took on additional responsibilities in an effort to train for his new position, City Manager David Beach said.<\/p>\n\u201cI have full faith in Aaron and his leadership, and I look forward to his tenure as the next fire chief,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd I am excited to watch him grow in his career and support him and changes and the evolution of the fire department.\u201d<\/p>\n

“I just want to thank you for this opportunity,” Rosenfield said. “I came here about nine years ago as a firefighter from Florida. I didn’t think I had any shot to get a job here, and it’s just a blessing to be here, and I thank you very much for this opportunity.\u201d<\/p>\n
